Day 37

Tuesday,  July 16, 2013

Today started out wonderfully!  We were all up and getting ready for the day fairly early.  The girls had all of their things ready and we were out there door on time again.  Melinda and I dropped the girls off at basketball practice and then came back to the house to pick up Robert.

I wanted to take Melinda to have a big, country breakfast and the best place in town to get one is a restaurant called Alfredo's.  It is located right off the highway and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Abigail loves to get their chocolate chip pancakes for dinner.  We each got the pancake breakfast which consists of two pancakes, two eggs, two pieces of bacon, and two pieces of sausage.  I don't care for sausage, so I got hash browns instead.  When our plates arrived, Melinda was amazed at all the food we received.  We all enjoyed our breakfast and then headed back home.

is BIGGER in Texas!!!

We dropped Robert off at home so he could work and Melinda and I headed back to the high school to spend some time at the library.  What a disappointment!  It didn't open for 20 more minutes!  The weather was actually cooperating today, so I wanted to get the t.v.cabinet painted with the final coat of polyurethane before it started raining again.  So, we turned back for home and I headed outside to start painting.  Melinda went to her room to Skype with family and friends.

Robert left a few minutes early in order to watch a little bit of the girls' practice before bringing them home for lunch.  After we ate, the girls went to their room to read and relax while we went outside to start working again.  I took some chicken out of the freezer for Melinda and Ally to make for dinner while we took Abigail to soccer practice.  I was able to get the entire piece and all of its parts painted with two coats before we had to leave for soccer practice.  If all goes according to plan, we should be moving it into the living room on Friday...YAH!!!
You can't really tell, but it now has a shiney,
protective coat on it.
Taking the opportunity to dry really well in the sun.

After soccer practice, we had dinner and Melinda and I watched 'The Notebook'.  It happens to be our favorite movie.  The girls watched part of it with us and then were sent to bed when it got more 'adult' in nature.  Since it is my favorite movie, Robert has seen it a million times, so he went to the living room to watch a movie that suited him.

Once the movie was over, Melinda and I assumed our usual late night posts while Robert finished up his movie.  Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day, so...until then....
