Day 31

After the long day of sanding and priming my furniture piece, I slept in a little before beginning my day.  Melinda said that she has been up since 7:15 because the insurance company called her to make sure everything had gone smoothly with her appointment yesterday.  The girls were already up and watching t.v.

Ally and Melinda went to our neighbors house to water their plants since they're on vacation and I headed to the garage to start painting.  The girls had piano at 2:00 p.m., so I knew I didn't have a lot of time to paint today.  When they finished watering, they headed back home and Melinda stayed outside to visit with me while I was painting.  She was nervous about painting the top coats because she said she is not a good painter.  No worries, as long as you stay out and keep me company, that's just as good.  She wanted to make lunch for us, but couldn't find much in the kitchen to work with so I finished up what I was working on and she and I went to the grocery store to get a few things.

While I was painting, I got a call from my cousin saying that she's in town and would like to have dinner with all of us tonight.  Robert and I normally have workout from 5-6, so we worked it out with our trainer to move it to 3-4 so that we'd be able to go out for dinner.

We had lunch and then started getting ready for piano and workout.  Melinda stayed home to talk to her relatives in Hungary.  The girls and I went straight from piano to workout and then home to get ready for dinner.  Mom rode with us since my dad went straight to the restaurant from work.  My cousin was already there when we arrived.  We hadn't seen her in a while and I was so excited to get to visit with her.

We ate at a place called Chuy's.  It is a lively and colorful Mexican food restaurant in Dallas.  Melinda couldn't decide on what to eat, but ultimately decided on a steak burrito.  It was made with a 12 inch flour tortilla and took up half of her plate.  She said it was delicious!

Chuy's is right across the street from the Apple store, so we headed over there once we were done with dinner.  My lock screen button has not been working and I was hoping that they'd be able to fix or replace it.  We lucked out and there was an opening in their appointment schedule just a few minutes after we arrived.  The gentlemen at the genius bar said that this issue was common with the iPhone 5 and he simply replaced mine with a new one thanks to our warranty.

Once we finished at the Apple store, we headed back to Forney, but not before making a pit stop at Dairy Queen for a blizzard.  The first thing I did when we got home was to sync my phone and get it back to the way I had it.  I did lose a little bit of data, but it wasn't anything major.

Melinda and I always discuss what will be happening the next day and she was the one that reminded me that tomorrow is 7-11.  You know what that means.....FREE SLURPEE'S AT 7-11!!!!  The girls have a dentist appointment in the morning and then we'll be making a pit stop at the newly opened Forney 7-11.  Yippee!!!
