We began our day a little behind schedule. We were suppose to get up and meet my mom at the gym to meet someone before meeting another lady who had bought something from me off the Treasure Exchange....but, that didn't go over very well. Since we stayed up so late talking, I was really tired and didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Ally and her friend who spent the night had also stayed up late, so they didn't get up until after I did. Of course, they came in wanting donuts, so I got them loaded into the van and we hit the local donut shop. Melinda was visiting with family on Skype, so she stayed behind.
When we got back home, I went over to moms house to help her with something on the computer. The girls finished their breakfast and followed me over so they could go swimming. Mom and I sat and talked outside while they swam until it was time to make my Treasure Exchange swap. Robert was in between calls, so he stayed with the little girls while they swam and Melinda, Mom and I headed out.
After I made my exchange, we went to a new shop that opened up here in Forney. This particular shop sells used and antique items. I have stopped in once before and got a really neat antique children's chair and a pretty blue milking can and wanted to see if they had anything 'new'. Unfortunately, they didn't, so we left there and headed to Chick-fil-A for lunch.
Now, yesterday was free slurpee day at 7-11. Today was free Chick-fil-A if you come into the restaurant dressed as a cow. Yes, you read that correctly....dressed as a cow. Lots of people do it every year. We had every intention of creating our own costumes as well, but just didn't have time. Robert didn't believe us when we told him how many people where there dressed as cows. Melinda thought this was really neat. I'm just sad that we didn't actually get to dress up ourselves. I think the girls would have liked this.

After lunch, we sat and visited with mom and dad before going back home so Robert could work. The girls stayed in the front yard playing on the slip n' slide while he finished his call. We were supposed to go to workout again this afternoon, but the trainer called and said he couldn't meet us at the arranged time, so I headed back out to the garage to start painting again. I am getting really close to finishing and I'm so excited to see the final product.

Melinda came out to keep me company while the girls watched and movie and Robert was working. We talked about her school and what she might be interested in studying when she goes to University. She is still very torn on what she wants to do. I told her that since she enjoys baking and cooking so much, and she is really good at it, that she should consider doing something along those lines. Maybe even open a shop with her aunt who also likes to bake. I told her that the main thing to keep in mind is to find something that you enjoy and love to do so that your job doesn't feel like work.
Once I had gotten to a point where I needed more advice, I called in the expert. My mom and dad came over to give me council. We moved forward with the next phase in the painting process and so far it is looking amazing. I won't get to work on it tomorrow, so I hope to be up and working again on Sunday.

So I painted it all nice and pretty and then 'dry' brushed it with a craft white paint and then sanded it down to look like..... |

...this. You can see a little bit of the wood showing through the red and craft white. |
While mom was helping me, Melinda, Dad, and Robert were all talking and decided to go for a bike ride to the Community park. Robert has a trailer bike to pull Abigail behind him, Mom rode her bike, and Melinda rode my dads bike. I stayed behind to clean up the painting project stuff and post a few more things on the Treasure Exchange to sell. I was able to get a picture of Melinda as they were getting back to the house. She said she had a good time and that the ride was not too far.

We all came inside and ordered catfish from a local joint for dinner and watched a movie while we ate. Once we had finished dinner, Abigail started getting ready for bed while we all sat in the dining room talking. It was already getting late, so we didn't stay up too much longer since we have a full day tomorrow.
