Day 34

Saturday, July 13, 2013

Today started off like most of our summer Saturdays....soccer game!  Abigail had another game in Rockwall, so we left the house around 9:45 for her 10:30 game.  Ally was still at her friends house from the night before, so we were down to two kids this morning.  Abigail played very well and scored one goal today.  Her team won, 5-0 and are currently in second place.

After the game, we all had lunch at our favorite place, Freeb!rds.  Abigail wanted to ride home with mom and dad, so Melinda, Robert, and I decided to make a pit stop at Best Buy before heading back to Forney.  Robert has been wanting a new t.v. for the living room so we stopped so he could look at them.  Wow, there's so many cool ones to pick from!

When we got home, I had another person coming over to pick up an item they purchased from me off the Treasure Exchange.  We went to church and then came home to have dinner.  The girls were in bed early after the friend-filled weekend they had.  We sat in the dining room visiting soon after they were in bed.

Tomorrow morning Melinda will be Skyping with her family for a very important celebration.  Her grandparents are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.  Wow!  That's so awesome!  May well wishes and blessings to them for many more happy years together.  Robert was telling Melinda that we have been married for 12 years and that this December we will have known each other for 14 years.  I looked up a calendar of December 1999 and we first met each other on Saturday, December 4, 1999.  We officially became an item on Saturday, December 11, which also happens to be the birth date of our oldest daughter, Alejandra.  OMG!  That just goes to show you that we were meant to be together.  So many 'what if's' that lead up to our meeting proves (in my opinion) that everything happens for a reason and that God truly has a plan for us.

Tomorrow we will be relaxing before a very hectic couple of weeks.  This week both girls will be participating in a basketball camp at our high school.  They will be there each morning for several hours learning and practicing with the high school students and coaches.  The following week, Ally will be back at the high school participating in the volleyball camp each morning.  Towards the end of the month, we have a trip planned, so we will be really busy over the next few weeks.
